1. Student Learning Portfolio

Since 2008, NPUST has documented students’ activities, including courses taken, leadership positions in student body organizations, participation in various student organizations, involvement in competitions and performances, etc. in his/her own “Student Learning Portfolio”. Students can use this portfolio as proof or reference materials for their career planning after graduation. The “Student Learning Portfolio” can be reviewed by students to identify their achievements and life direction. It can also be presented at a formal interview to assist students in finding the right job to fit their own capability and interests.

2. Spiritual Farming Volunteers

In 1993, a distinctive program called “Spiritual Farming” was initiated by the Student Counseling Section. In this program, we persist in the faith of “Pursue Happiness & EnjoyingLife by Helping.” Through the processes of helping people, serving the community, and participating in various activities, students may help themselves. Students may also reveal their self-consciousness and take advantage of their potential to explore their life.

3.ResourceCenter

The Resource Center is set up under the Student Counseling Section for students’ need. This center is designed especially to provide essential resources and consultation for students who are physically or mentally disabled, or Taiwan aborigines. In the center, professional consultants and schoolmates assistants are employed to do the consultation work. University professors are also invited to work with us voluntarily.

Besides the human resources, the resource classrooms are equipped with a series of psychological books, journals, video tapes, audio books, and related facilities. All the materials are open for students to borrow and study freely.
