100th Anniversary School Fundraising Event Introduces the Hundred Year Commemorative Liquor

With this year marking the 100th year since the founding of NPUST, the university has teamed up with Kinmen Distillery to launched a limited edition “Hundred Year Commemorative Liquor”. On this very special occasion, the school hopes to put a spotlight on the successes it has enjoyed over the past century while also looking forward to the wonderful times that await it in the future. Through this collaborative effort, NPUST’s rich academic and scientific research energy will be combined with Kinmen’s battlefield glory; and as the university puts to practice university social responsibility (USR) by promoting Kinmen’s local economic development, it is also demonstrating a spirit of mutual goodwill according to its philosophy of “benevolence, empirical pursuit and sustainability”.

Rare liquor, a taste of history

Kinmen Distillery’s 58% Kaoliang Liquor, which is brewed using an ancient method of solid-state fermentation on pure grains, was selected for NPUST’s Hundred Year Commemorative Liquor. The elegant spirit is culturally rich and has a contemporary taste that was chosen to reflect the century-long march NPUST has made under the banner of “benevolence, empirical pursuit and sustainability”. It is a celebration of the school’s many successes and the ways in which it has helped light up Taiwan’s first-century of educational impact!

Local craftsmanship, exquisite aesthetics

The bottle was designed by renowned design company and Taiwanese craft shop, Excellence Collection. Drawing inspiration from the “sky lantern”, the bottle is a perfect expression of the timelessness of Chinese culture and a symbol of NPUST’s warm wishes to her friends for blessings and peace. It is a classic masterpiece that collectors will truly appreciate.

Inheriting innovation and building a brighter future

The main visual components of the artwork bring together the aesthetic features of the school, with depictions of prominent campus architecture in front of a layered mountain backdrop—and at the center of it all, the school emblem is displayed under the Chinese character “bai”, the character for 100. On the reverse side, the Arabic numerals for 100 are also cleverly depicted in the shape of the school tower next to two round hay bales, bringing to mind the picturesque scenery of our campus fields in the autumn time.

A token of thanks to our donors

The university is grateful to all its friends and supporters, and we hope to express our appreciation in a meaningful way. For this reason, as a token of our gratitude at this very special occasion, this Hundred Year Commemorative Liquor will be gifted to each of our friends who makes a donation of 10,000 NTD or more. Your friendship and contributions have helped make our school into what it is, and are helping to make us into what we strive to be in the future”.
