The National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST) Department of Fashion Design and Management held their “2023 End-of-Semester Joint Works Presentation” on December 27th, exhibiting the works of students from a variety of courses and different levels of study.
In order add vitality to creative learning process, Director Wei-Her Hsieh of the Department of Fashion has asked teachers of various design-related courses to encourage students to jointly exhibit their works at the end of each semester. The joint exhibition creates an opportunity for students to observe one another’s creativity and build relationships across classes and grade levels. This semesters’ exhibition was divided into dynamic and static works, with the static works exhibited in the corridor outside HE212 from December 25th to 29th and the dynamic works presented in the 2F corridor of the Fashion Department from 12:00~13:30 on the 27th.
Director Wei-Her Hsieh delivered a speech at the event, saying “this end-of-semester joint works presentation is coordinated by the Department Association, so that students can learn from each other and expand their creative energy. With strong support from the teachers, we are jointly creating an environment where student can learn through exchange, and where peers can encourage each other and enhance one another’s inspiration and creativity.”
Courses participating in the exhibition include Introduction to Basic Design instructed by Shu-Fang Huang; Beauty Styling and Practice instructed by Hsiu-Tsu Chen; Clothing Construction Science instructed by Chao-Jung Lai; Fashion Design instructed by Lu-Ping Tien; Computer-Aided Garment Design and Pattern Making instructed by Wei-Chen Chen; High-Tech Fabric Research and Development instructed by Sang-Song Lai; Clothing Product Planning instructed by Yun Wang; and Fabric Dyeing instructed by Department Director Wei-Her Hsieh.
